"Our gorgeous wedding cake was made by Cathy at The Stables Pantry, who we'd highly recommend. Our first meeting with Cathy was at her gorgeous home in Herefordshire. The eggs in her cakes come from her own chickens and she makes all the jams and preserves herself. We went for chocolate mud cake with chocolate ganache, caramel sponge with salted caramel buttercream and a vanilla sponge with tropical preserve and vanilla buttercream. I was over the moon with the cake when I saw it, it was exactly what we wanted. We had plenty of the chocolate tier left so we were able to take it away on minimoon with us a few days after the wedding. "

It was absolutely beautiful and fitted so perfectly into the rustic venue with all the flowers on! So glad the weather permitted the buttercream as it was the icing on the cake (literally).
And the important bit… It was absolutely delicious! Everyone commented how lovely it was and we barely took any of it home as it got demolished as soon as it was cut up!
We did manage to hide a bit away to take to Scotland with us. On the way up we stopped in the Lake District and climb Englands highest peak: Scafell Pike (978m). All of the hikers at the top with their apples and cereal bars were very jealous of our wedding cake lunch!

"Our cake was provided by Cathy at The Stables Pantry. We had a three tier cake with chocolate, lemon and fruit cake. We wanted a combination of our favourite flavours with being a little traditional too. Having a country wedding we wanted our cake to have a rustic, natural look too. We trusted Cathy as we didn’t know much about cakes and were so happy we did. The cake was beautiful and tasted incredible! "

" We organised our wedding from New Zealand (ie all online) and found Cathy on Google as she's based near the venue. We went for a three tier lemon and elderflower cake with lemon curd filling, covered in white chocolate ganache and fondant. we chose to serve the cake as dessert with cream and fresh berries, and it went down so well !! The cake was light and moist which made for the perfect final course at our hot summers day wedding. We really enjoyed it and continued to enjoy the leftver cake the following day at our post-wedding brunch. Thanks so much ! "
